Two Lewis and Clark high school basketball greats met on the hardwood on Tuesday... in the WNBA.
Briann January and Katelan Redmon squared off in Indiana, with January's Fever topping Redmon's Liberty, 84-82. January scored six points and had five assists in her teams win, while Redmon scored her first four points as a pro in just under eight minutes on the court in the loss.
The two Spokane natives shared a friendly hug after the contest, which was Redmon's best performance by far since joining New York last week. January has significant WNBA experience, playing in her fourth season with the Fever. She's averaging a career best 10.7 points per contest this season to go along with 3.5 assists per game.
With the win, Indiana improved to 10-6 this season, while the Liberty fell to 6-11.
