It didn't take long for the New York Liberty to realize they made a mistake letting former GU star Katelan Redmon go before the season started.
The Liberty signed the Spokane native on Thursday, after releasing her back on May 27th, the last day teams could make roster cuts before the regular season started. Redmon, New York's third round draft pick in the 2012 draft, has been working on her game in Spokane since the end of May. She had planned to play overseas starting in September, but will head to New York to finish the WNBA's season first.
It won't take long for Redmon to meet up with another former Zag. Courtney Vandersloot's Chicago Sky plays New York on Friday. Vandersloot and Redmon were teammates on Gonzaga's 2010-11 team that advanced to the program's first ever Elite Eight.
