The Aggies, who are now 3-7 overall and 2-5 in their first year as a member of the Big Sky Conference (football only), were coming off a bye week. They are a hard-luck team with an excruciating schedule, and suffered narrow losses by eight points or less to three other nationally-ranked teams -- Cal Poly (28-20), Montana State (48-41) and South Dakota State (12-8). They also lost just 21-7 on the road to nationally-ranked Big Sky leader Northern Arizona.
