Keith, so often here at Eastern Washington, we're
talking about the offense and for good reason.
Those guys usually putting up 40-50 points per week
and includes the likes of Vernon Adams Jr.
and Cooper Kupp just to name a few of those guys.
But how about the Eags defense? Those guys really
making a difference this season especially last weekend
forcing three turnovers on the road at Northern Arizona.
Head coach Beau Baldwin likes what he sees from those
Been really happy with how we've come defensively.
Those guys have worked really hard.
Again, that goes back to December.
That's not something that happened in a week.
That's a mindset that the rest of these student-athletes
have taken for the last 8-9 months.
Again, going into the offseason, that was one of the
emphasises that we don't want to just be a laidback
defense that makes our offense score more points.
We want to get stops, and we want games to be blowouts
We don't want to give up points, and we ant to score
Like I said, just a big emphasis in the offseason
for our defense to not have to rely on the offense.
Baldwin also telling the turnover differential through
the first four weeks is zero.
What he calls average.
Those guys are going to be on high-alert again this
weekend when they welcome UC-Davis to the red on Saturday.
Kickoff is set for just after one.
