Police say a woman posing as an area manager for a chain of waffle houses walked into one of the diners and stole $100 from the cash register.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a woman entered the Waffle House restaurant in Atlanta just after 6 a.m. dressed in a company uniform. Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones says the suspect began acting as an area manager and conducted an inspection of the restroom area. She then walked over to the cash register and took out about $100 in cash, which is not part of the area manager's regular routine.
Jones said that after taking the cash, the woman then walked out of the diner and into a vehicle driven by an unidentified male. Police are searching for both suspects.
