A Medical Lake woman and her family were robbed this morning and the thieves are still on the loose.

It was a Craigslist meeting gone wrong.

The Kapustin family placed an ad for their Gulbransen piano. They've had it for at least 15 years.

Last month, the family thought they had successfully sold the piano. A buyer sent them a check for $2000 to send the piano to him.

When they went to cash the check, it bounced.

The family thought they would have better luck this morning. Two potential buyers, a man and a woman, stopped by the Kapustin's home.

They didn't leave with the piano, but they did take Natalya Kapustin's wallet.

“She walked through the kitchen or hallway... and she found my purse in the kitchen,” said Kapustin.

The thieves worked quickly.

“I went to my bank and they said they had already used my card... Walmart- $160... Jack in the Box, Express,” Kapustin said.

The family contacted police and Crime Check. Kapustin and her son were able to trace the phone number the thieves had given them to a local motel.

That's as much information as they can get without help.

“We can't. Maybe police can, they're more professional. But we tried to do it.” Kapustin said.

Kapustin said the thieves were both white, and appeared to be in their 40's.

The woman had dark hair and tattoos on her legs and arms. She wore sunglasses, even while inside.

The man was tall, with light hair.
