THERE WERE NUMEROUS MEMORIAL SERVICES AROUND THE INLAND
NORTHWEST TODAY TO HONOR THOSE WHO'VE SERVED OUR COUNTRY.
KXLY4'S ALLIE NORTON JOINS US LIVE FROM ONE THOSE...
AT FAIRMOUNT MEMORIAL CEMETERY TONIGHT... ALLIE
NADINE, EACH OF THESE FLAGS WERE PURCHASED BY FAMILY
MEMBERS TO REMEMBER THEIR LOVED ONE WHO SERVED.
IT'S JUST ONE OF THE MANY WAYS TO SHOW GRATITUDE TO
THOSE WHO MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE.
("We should all celebrate today, remember it.")
("This day has been consecrated to our departed service
men and women and dedicated to Patriots.")
("For all the men and woman who served and to assure
us of peace that we can do what we want to")
("It is right and salutary that those who did sacrIfice
or die or who did sacrafice and have since died be
remembered and honored for their invaluable service
they rendered their country and humanity.")
("He was just a wonderful man, wonderful dad, he was
married to my mom for 56 years and we're here to honor
("Let the graves of the dead be strewn with flowers
and the wreaths of laurel.")
("We played cards last year, just hang out around
his gravesite so that he knows we're here.")
("If you truly want to remember and honor those who
came before you, those who gave that sacrifice, if
you disgrace these uniforms, you disgrace them.")
("Every United States citizen should honor our military
for everything that they've done.")
("We shouldn't forget any of them")
AND IT WAS ALSO SAID DURING TODAY'S CEREMONY THAT
IT'S IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THE FAMILIES OF OUR SERVICE
MEN AND WOMAN.
SHERIFF OZZIE KNEZOVICH SAID THEY TOO FEEL THE PAIN
AND REMORSE OF SEPERATION AND WHAT IT IS TO LOSE SOMEONE.
