SPOKANE, Wash. -

Just before 7:00 Wednesday morning, Spokane Police responded to a truck stuck under the Stevens Street rail bridge.

A spokesperson for Waste Management said the driver of a recycling transfer truck misjudged the clearance of the bridge.

Waste Management said the driver was on an alternative route, maneuvering around construction zones.

The driver is a 20-year-veteran with the company and Waste Management said he has an exemplary safety record.

The two right lanes were closed while the truck was removed, but were re-opened around 8:00 a.m.
