The Spokane Police Department has requested more help from the community to help track down the suspect who gunned down a South Hill resident in his home Sunday evening.
Doug Carlile, 65, was identified by the medical examiner Tuesday morning as the victim who was shot and killed in his home in the 2500 block of Garfield Sunday. His assailant has not been identified publicly by the police department, but they have solicited the public for help tracking that individual down.
On Monday, the department released footage taken from a home along Rockwood Blvd. that shows what police are calling a vehicle of interest. The vehicle is a white early 2000's model Dodge extended cab van,
Detectives followed up with a second request for assistance Tuesday, asking for information from the public about Carlile's "past business dealings" in a two-sentence media release. The release did not elaborate what Carlile's business had to do with his killing.
In both cases, detectives are asking that if anyone has any information about the vehicle of interest or Carlile's business to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
