Spokane Police have arrested a suspect in the theft of dozens of bags of cat food from Spokanimal earlier this month.
On January 17, police received a tip that an individual had stolen cat food from Spokanimal, located at 710 N. Napa. The tipster also gave police a location to where they could find the suspect. Officers found the individual, later identified as William Sorenson, 40, in a camper at 700 N. Crestline.
Sorenson was cooperative with police and was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on a second degree burglary charge.
Police recovered 25 16-pound bags of cat food and over 100 cans of pet food.
Officers determined the suspect entered a storage shed next to Spokanimal's office and stole the food, which has since been returned to Spokanimal.
