Spokane police have made an arrest in the murder of a businessman who lived on Spokane's South Hill. 

Timothy E. Suckow, 50, has been arrested and charged with first-degree premeditated murder. He was booked at 4:02 a.m. on Tuesday. He will make his first court appearance Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. 

Douglas Carlile was shot to death on December 15 as he returned to his home at 25th and Garfield. Carlile's wife ran upstairs and called police. 

Investigators believe the killer broke into the upscale home and was waiting to ambush Carlile.
