SPOKANE, Wash. -

After nearly two years of hard work, Ben and Christy Lukes will open the doors to their long anticipated brewery, Perry Street Brewing Company.

Ben has a long history in the brewing industry. He started in his college dorm room as a hobby, and then eventually worked for Big Sky Brewery for six years where he learned the skills needed to start his own brewery.

Christy is from Spokane and the pair thought opening the brewery in the Perry District was the perfect location.

"We're so excited. I mean this has been a dream of ours for a really long time. To actually be able to notify the public that we will be opening our doors and our taps we're so excited," said Christy.

Perry Street Brewing Co. will officially be open for business this Thursday with six different specialty craft beers.

"We're going to do all styles we're really not going to limit ourselves at all," said Ben.

As far as the food selection goes, the brewery will have a few appetizers but the owners will invite several different local food trucks to come and serve food as well.

Doors are set to open at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 13. The Brewery is off the corner of Perry Street and 11th Ave.
