MOSES LAKE, Wash. -

One man is dead and law enforcement officers are searching for the suspect in Moses Lake tonight. 

The Grant County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of shots fired around 6:40 Tuesday evening at the Airport Grocery Mart along Patton Boulevard near Big Bend Community College.

At the scene they discovered an adult male in his 20's, fatally shot, in a car in the parking lot. The Grant County Sheriff's Office said that a 23-year-old woman and a 6-year-old child were also in the car at the time of the shooting.

The two were uninjured but traumatized by the shooting.

The victim was identified Wednesday afternoon as 22-year-old Juan Jesus Garcia of Moses Lake.

Witnesses provided a description of the suspect, 23-year-old Anthony R. Vasquez, and the vehicle he fled the scene in. Investigators found the vehicle in the Cascade Valley area but were unsuccessful in locating Vasquez and wrapped up their search by 11:30 pm.

Vasquez is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, about 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, wearing white shorts, a white tank top and a black and white baseball cap. 

He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
