SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Mobius Science Center and Spokanimal are partnering to educate the public about pet health this weekend.

"You're coming here to see some cool animal sciences stuff, and hey, you learn some physics, you learn some chemistry, you learn all sorts of stuff like that," said Mobius' Director of Education, Don Riefler.

Riefler's team put together quite the line-up for Saturday. The Spokane Police Department will have a K-9 officer on hand to teach kids about how dogs are used to fight crime. Spokanimal will even offer some reduced rate services during the event.

"We have a mobile unit coming from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A Spokanimal vet and vet techs will be there providing microchips and rabies shots," said Spokanimal's Shelly Sharp.

There's no special charge for the exhibit, just the regular admission price to get into Mobius.
