The season of giving isn't over yet, and that's why KXLY is teaming up with Goodwill and U.S. Bank for the Give Back Donation Drive.
Did you get a sweater for Christmas you didn't like? Or maybe it's your New Year's resolution to de-clutter? Well, now is the perfect time to clean out your closest and donate to Goodwill.
KXLY is partnering with the non-profit and U.S. Bank for the first Give Back Donation Drive. Just stop by any U.S. Bank branch in the area or Goodwill location and drop off your clothes, coats, shoes and toys into the blue bins.
All donations are tax deductible and when you donate to Goodwill you are helping to change lives in the area.
"When you donate items to Goodwill and when you shop at Goodwill, 85 cents of every dollar goes to our programs that works to help people get employed out in the community," Heather Alexander with Goodwill said.
Last year, Goodwill served more than 6,500 people in the Inland Northwest and the more you donate, the more people the non-profit is able to help.
"It's about helping people become independent in our communities, and most people think about Goodwill and they think that's a place to shop or take the stuff I don't want but they don't realize all we do in the community and our mission is to help people overcome their barriers to employment," Alexander explained.
The drive runs until January 3.
