SPOKANE, Wash. -

First Night Spokane is a celebration of the arts for the Inland Northwest, a family friendly event that features live music, activities for children and free parking.

First Night Spokane has partnered with the Spokane Transit Authority and WSU-Spokane to provide free parking and a shuttle from the Riverpoint campus.

It's all meant to encourage people to celebrate downtown and enjoy a fun, safe evening at an event which grows larger each year.

"We draw from Canada, people on the west coast, Idaho, Montana, its definitely a regional event," Molly Meyers Jakubczak said. "It is the best bargain you'll ever find for a great, great evening for everybody in the family."

To get into the party you have to purchase a button, which are $18 for adults. Kids under 12 get in free.
