SPOKANE, Wash. -

A cold front that brought spring snow to the Cascades and gusty winds and freezing temperatures to Eastern Washington is rapidly on its way out to be replaced by summer-like conditions.

The National Weather Service says skies are clearing Wednesday and sunshine will push high temperatures into the 70s Thursday and Friday and into the 80s over the weekend.

Authorities are advising people who head to the water to enjoy the weather to be careful. River water temperatures are still around 40 degrees.
