Former WSU and NBA basketball star Craig Ehlo pleaded guilty to second degree reckless burning Wednersday morning in Spokane Superior Court.
Ehlo was arrested at his southern Spokane County home back on August 1 after neighbors called 911 to report a brush fire. Arrving District 8 firefighters found a pile of personal belonging burning in Ehlo's driveway and two men trying to keep Ehlo away from the fire.
Sheriff's deputies determined that the incident was related to domestic problems and got a no contact order between Ehlo and members of his family.
As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Ehlo pleaded guilty a lesser charge that spares Ehlo a felony conviction.
The no contact order was lifted by the court and Ehlo was ordered to pay $700 in court costs.
