Beer and liquor lovers will have a new spot to hang out when they attend events at the Spokane Arena. Dry Fly Distillings is opening what it calls its Locally Crafted Neighborhood on the west side of the building.
The Neighborhood provides customers with a variety of items all from the Spokane area. It celebrated its Grand Opening on Thursday afternoon, along with several business partners.
The Neighborhood features locally crafted products, including Dry Fly spirits, beers from Iron Goat Brewing, cider from One Tree Cider, wines from Townshend Cellars and a new menu from Centerplate Catering.
Since Dry Fly is a manufacturer, the company says this is the perfect opportunity to reach new customers they haven't been able to in the past.
"This is our opportunity to put a retail face on who we are and to allow the million visitors that come to the Arena every year the opportunity to experience Dry Fly without having to come to our manufacturing plant or go to another one of our customers," said Don Poffenroth, co-owner of Dry Fly Distillings.
Dry Fly says in an area like Spokane, it is proud to serve all local products, especially in the Arena, which is usually controlled by large corporations.
