Spokane detectives are searching for a killer, believing he may be in the Seattle area.

Spokane Major Crimes detectives have identified 30-year-old Duy Bui Nguyen as the suspect in a deadly altercation in Spokane Valley late Monday night. Tuesday morning, a body was found at a home in the 13100 block of East Heroy.

Detectives obtained a search warrant today and began collecting evidence at the home. Through the investigation they identified Bui-Nguyen as the suspect in a violent, fatal altercation they believe took place. He was not at the residence this morning.

Bui-Nguyen was believed to have been driving a 2004 Ford F150, so investigators entered the vehicle into a national law enforcement database as stolen.

Detectives learned that Bui-Nguyen had been contacted by Seattle police around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, but the crime had not been discovered yet, so he was released.

Bui-Nguyen is still believed to be in the Seattle area, but could have traveled to Colorado.

The black 2004 Ford F150 with Washington license plates B05360T has checkered yellow flames on the side.  It is unknown if Bui-Nguyen is still with the vehicle or if he is armed.

Bui-Nguyen is 5’10” and approximately 245 pounds and should be considered dangerous although it is not known if he is armed.

Anyone with information regarding Bui-Nguyen’s location, observes the noted vehicle or has information about this incident is urged to call 911.
