SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

Spokane County Deputies and Major Crimes detectives are investigating the discovery of a female body in the Spokane River Friday night.

The body was found in the river around 4:00 PM north of the intersection of Empire and Butler Road. It was pulled from the water a short time later.

Deputies say the Gonzaga Row Team found the body.

The area where it was found is mainly residential. This is the third body pulled out of this section of the river since November.

Details on the victim won't be released until next week.
