SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year but the tradition of bargain hunting on December 26 is becoming more popular.

The deals might not be as insane the day after Christmas as they are the day after Thanksgiving but local shoppers found a lot of great bargains, and while the deals might not be quite as crazy, neither are the crowds of people.

"Oh yeah I shop for presents for next year so get good deals this year for next year," Pam Adams said.

"We usually go shopping the day after Christmas; yeah I get excited about it but we sleep in then eventually we make it here," Wendy Knudtson said.

Sisters Angela Strawn and Wendy Knudtson know how to shop but they're not head cases.

"We're not too concerned about being early for the deals the day after Christmas it's more important to catch up on our sleep from Christmas Eve with our kids," Knudtson said.

They're here shopping for the same things most people are.

"Snowflake lights, some wreaths, some storage bins, those are always important," Angela Strawn said.

"Shopping for the sales and all the Christmas things that are half off and trying to get storage stuff for next year," Adams said.

Storage stuff is huge right now says Target manager Nezar Nimri. His store has amazing deals on bins and tubs and everything seasonal, stuff they just don't have room for now that Christmas is over.

"Lighting, our outdoor decor, getting ready for next year we have guests being proactive and stocking up," Nimri said.

Another big ticket item that's still flying off the shelves is game consoles like the PS4.

"Which are so hard to get in, we have about 10 of those right now, we have our XBOX Ones in right now so we're doing good," Nimri said.

Target is also making a big push for guest to download their cartwheel app during post-Christmas sales.

"You download what you want and its basically more percents off what's already a great price," Nimri said.

"It will pull up if there are any coupons on there so it will give you an extra five, I don't know I have gotten forty percent off of things before," Knudtson said.

Wendy and Angela have a number of apps that they say they stack to get great stuff at rock bottom prices and not just at Target. But, for Thursday at least, the Spokane Valley Target store seemed like the place to be..

"Today is a very busy day for us we are very excited people get those gift cards for Christmas they want to come in here and spend," Nimri said.
