SEATTLE, Wash. -

Authorities say a Washington state man choked his mother's Pomeranian puppy.

Records show that Carlos Anderson was booked for an animal cruelty charge into the King County Jail on Thursday. Seattlepi.com reported that the incident occurred on Oct. 31 while the 38-year-old man was home with his brother in Skyway.

Authorities wrote in court documents that Anderson's brother found him in the living room choking the dog, named Missy. Missy's right eye popped out of its socket.

The dog underwent surgery to fix the eye, but the veterinary clinic reported that she may no longer have vision through that eye.
