An armed robber hit the Qwik Stop at Wellesley and Market just after midnight Thursday morning in Northeast Spokane.

Spokane Police said the man pointed a gun at the clerk and took an unspecified amount of cash and merchandise. No one was injured.

Police set up a perimeter in the area and tried to track the suspect with K-9 units but were unsuccessful.

According to Lieutenant Dean Sprague with the Spokane Police Department, they're searching for a male suspect with "medium skin color," wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The man is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone knows anything about the crime, they are asked to call 911.
