SPOKANE, Wash. -

A Zip Trip convenience store in north Spokane was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning.

It happened at the Zip Trip on the 2000 block of West Francis Avenue, just before 1 a.m.

Spokane police said two males with black masks and guns came into the store, jumped over the counter and demanded money.

The employee complied and the culprits took off on foot heading northbound with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.

A K9 was brought to the scene and was following a track that just ended, likely where the men jumped into a getaway vehicle.

Spokane police said they only have a general description of the men.
