ONE WOMAN SAYS HER HOME THAT BURNED DOWN, IS WHERE
SHE PLANNED TO BE FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE.
TONYA MCDANIEL DIDN'T WANT TO BELIEVE IT WHEN SHE
WAS TOLD TO EVACUATE THE HOME SHE'S LIVED IN FOR 6

not supposed to hit us :4W6 22
BUT SHE QUICKLY REALIZED THE FIRE WAS COMING STRAIGHT
FOR HER AND HER FAMILY VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWN.
i grabbed 11 dogs, 7 people, and threw them in my
ford explorer and left :6W7 22
SHE LEFT BEHIND EVERYTHING ELSE.
i left two cats behind in the house, my parakeets,
the chickens, and a cat outside thinking my home wasn't
going to burn :8W8 22
BUT IT DID BURN.
sad, sad, i lost everything, i lost my relatives'
pictures, my great great grandparents pictures, i
lost everything, everything, i had everything.
my home was beautiful, antiques, everything, is gone.
my animals are gone :17W9 24
A FEW THINGS SURVIVED, LIKE BIRD HOUSES IN THE YARD.
APPLE TREES, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, TONYA'S HORSE NUTMEG,
WHO SHE HAD TO LEAVE IN THE FIRE.
she knew something was going on, she wouldn't leave,
she stayed :5W10 22
THE PROPERTY OWNER'S KIDS WALKED NUTMEG THE HORSE
10 MILES TO SAFETY WHEN THEY REALIZED SHE WAS ALIVE.
i started yelling, yes thank god thank god shes safe
i didnt think id ever see her again :8W11 22
THE LAST FEW DAYS FOR TONYA HAVE BEEN UNTHINKABLE.
hell, hell, tore me up, its the hardest thing i've

SHE KNOWS SHE WILL BE OK.
