A 33-year-old woman was arrested on a variety of charges, including arson and attempted robbery, after she set a taxi cab on fire and then set fires in a Riverpoint campus building.
Daniele Williamson, 33, was booked into the Spokane County Jail Monday night following her short crime spree.
She started off her night as a passenger in a taxi which she then set on fire. She later entered the Health and Sciences Building at 310 N. Riverpoint Blvd., pulled two fire alarms and set two small fires inside the building.
Crews extinguished the fire and determined it was purposely set; they found pieces of paper that Williamson allegedly tried to burn.
"The situation was really dynamic; it was changing not really by minutes but by seconds," Spokane Assistant Fire Chief Brian Schaeffer said.
While being questioned she indicated she had a bomb in her backpack; police never found a bomb in her bag.
She was taken into custody and after her first appearance in court Tuesday was released from jail because some of the paperwork regarding her arrest had not been completed.
