SPOKANE, Wash. -

A Washington State University professor continues to fight for his life Monday night.

Police say a fight outside a Pullman pub early Saturday morning put Doctor David Warner in the ICU at Sacred Heart.

Friends of Dr. Warner have created a Facebook page called Rally For David Warner. They're still asking questions about how he ended up in the hospital.

"That we stand together to say, 'Dave, you are a part of us and we are with you in this difficult time," Dr. Dave Leonard, chair of WSU's American studies program said about Dr. Warner.

Donations are already coming in for Warner, police want tips to pour in as well.

"Even if you don't think what you saw was important. Give us a call and lets put the pieces of the puzzle together," Commander Chris Tennant of Pullman Police said.

Until then, the Facebook page is a reminder that the man in the pictures on the page did more than teach.

"Dave is like a brother to me. We've been friends for 10 years now," friend Shawn Lamebull said. "He is giving you a toolset to challenge the things around you. The things you take for granted."

Police say they have several unnamed suspects in this case. They also have surveillance video, but they are still asking anyone with information to come forward.

Suspects in this case could be facing felony assault charges.

At this time police are not calling this a hate crime and they caution people who may be throwing that idea around.
