A two-alarm fire destroyed two apartments in Spokane Valley early Saturday morning.

The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. at the Meadow Wood apartments on the 2100 block of North Houk.

Firefighters believe the fire started on a ground floor patio and spread to the balcony above, but the cause is still under investigation.

No one was injured in the fire.
