Major Crimes and Gang Unit detectives from the Spokane Police Department are investigating a life-threatening stabbing in East Central Spokane.
According to police, three people entered a garage on the 4000 block of East Pacific Avenue, where the female victim lives, and stabbed her just before midnight Monday.
The woman, in her mid-30s, then made her way outside and started screaming. The suspects, two men and one woman, fled the scene.
When officers arrived, the woman was able to tell them the names of the people who stabbed her in the head, leg and hand.
Police said at least one of the male suspects is a known gang member and it is believed that the stabbing is drug-related.
The woman was transported to a local hospital and is currently in surgery. When we last checked, she was in stable condition.
