Threatening texts lead to stabbing in North Spokane
A man is in the Spokane County Jail for stabbing his neighbor, according to Spokane police.
Just after 3 a.m. Tuesday, two men were sending threatening texts to each other. Sergeant Kevin King with the Spokane Police Department said the two men use to work together.
One of the men, Cordon Pyratt, 35, lives on the 4400 block of North Addison Street. He went to the other man's house on the 700 block of East Longfellow Avenue in North Spokane, and the two men started fighting, said Sgt. King.
According to Sgt. King, Pyratt stabbed the man who lives on Longfellow Avenue and then left the house.
The victim called 911 and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds to his stomach, arm and head.
The Pyratt was found nearby, on the corner of Longfellow Avenue and Addison Street. He was arrested and booked into jail for first-degree assault.
Police said the altercation was recorded on a neighbor's surveillance camera.
