SPOKANE, Wash. -

Firefighters are investigating a house fire that started early Monday morning in West Spokane.

The fire started around 3:30 a.m. on the 3200 block of West Rosamond Avenue, which is near Government Way and Sunset Boulevard.

Firefighters said the fire started in a bedroom.

A couple and their 19-year-old daughter woke up when they heard the fire alarm. They all got out of the house safely.

Firefighters said the bedroom has a lot of fire damage and the rest of the house has extensive smoke damage.
