Spokane police are searching for two women who stabbed a homeless man in the side.

The stabbing happened just before 5 p.m. Sunday, near the corner of Maple Street and 2nd Avenue.

The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the stabbing doesn't appear to be random.
