PULLMAN -

Pullman Police caught up with a Spokane carjacking suspect Sunday morning while responding to a possible DUI.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday, officers in Pullman were called to a disabled vehicle and possible DUI and discovered the vehicle was stolen out of Spokane.

Damon Williams, 45, was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail on First Degree Robbery and Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

This all started around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Grocery Outlet at 3rd and Maple.

Spokane Police say Williams approached his victim waiting in a running car and tried to drag him out of it. They say Williams jumped into the car and tried to drive away, but hit a pole.

The carjacking victim was hanging onto the car at the time and was dragged. His condition is unknown.
