SPOKANE, Wash. -

Shellye Stark, the Spokane woman convicted of killing her husband in 2007, will soon get a new trial.

Stark was convicted in 2009 for the murder of Dale Stark. She claimed self defense, telling jurors she shot him in their South Hill home after years of abuse including forced prostitution.

An appellate court overturned her conviction last year, finding fault with jury instructions and other legal technicalities.

Her new trial starts after the trial of her boyfriend Brian Moore is over. He's accused of conspiring with Shellye to kill Dale Stark. His trial started Wednesday.
