SPOKANE, Wash. -

After 10 years, Spa Paradiso is moving out of the Davenport Hotel to Kendall Yards, so in 30 days the historic hotel decided it would take over spa services and give it the Davenport touch.

Anyone who's been to the davenport hotel knows that the basement space belonged to Spa Paradiso for 10 years, but Davenport decided it was their time to open their own spa.

As you walk inside you'll notice the changes are many, the lobby completely redone with all new products, all new spacing for their hair station and as you walk back into the serenity space, you're going to get complimentary champagne.

"We changed all the wall texture, we knocked out walls, put new walls in," spa manager Tamara O'Conner said.

It's a "green" certified spa that spares no expense to pamper its clientele.

"We've really done I think a lot of nice touches in the lobby area and then we've added a lot more treatment rooms, we have another couples massage room, the serenity rooms, instead of one serenity room we now have three," marketing director Matt Jensen said.

The men's and women's serenity rooms all come with complimentary glass of champagne.

Also new? Valet is on the house. Their motto, after all, is "Giving more than you expect."

Around every corner is a redone, retouched and renewed space. Even the treatments have changed. In the wet treatment room, for example, you can get a seaweed wrap with seaweed plucked from the coast of Ireland.

"I really want to help people on their path to wellness so when I did that I really looked at companies that that was their premise ... is health," O'Conner said.

If you want your own tour of the Davenport spa, there's an open house Sept. 17 through 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome and there will be complimentary beverages and appetizers.
