The Spokane County medical examiner says the death of a baby girl last week appears to be an accident.

Paramedics were called to a home on 11th Avenue last week for a report of a child who wasn't breathing.

The infant was taken to the hospital and doctors were not able to revive her.

The child's mother had left her with a babysitter and then traveled to the west side of the state.

On Monday, an autopsy was performed on the child and while the case is still under investigation right now the medical examiner said the baby's death appears to be accidental.
