Kids hurt in Manito Park sledding accident

SPOKANE, Wash. -

Two kids were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon as a precaution after a sledding accident at Manito Park.

The accident happened around 1 p.m.

The children involved, a boy and a girl, were riding the same sled when they hit a tree.

A firefighter at the scene said the kids are pretty scraped up, but neither lost consciousness so they don't believe either suffered a concussion from the impact.

More than 30 people were sledding at Manito Park at the time the crash happened.
