Home invader runs away with nothing
Spokane Police are searching for a man who broke into a southeast Spokane home Wednesday morning.
It happened just before 4 a.m. at a home in the 2500 block of East Hartson Avenue.
The man was armed with a gun and told the couple renting the home to "get down."
One of the renters, Dennis Michelpook, said he was severely shaken up by the experience.
"All of a sudden I heard someone scrambling in the house and the dogs started barking," said Michelpook.
The invader ran out shortly after telling the couple to "get down" and didn't take anything from the house.
Police K-9 units searched for the man, but could not find him. Police believe the invasion is drug-related, but the intruder broke into the wrong house.
