A drunk driver lead Spokane Police on a pursuit late Friday night.

A trooper tried to pull over a speeding BMW headed west on Hartson just after 10:00 p.m.

Shortly after, that BMW hit a passing Buick at the intersection of 5th and Thor. The BMW did not stop and left the area.

The BMW eventually pulled over at Main and Bernard downtown, where the driver took off on foot.

After a short search, with help from the Spokane County Sheriff's Air One helicopter, the suspect was found at his home.

22-year-old Petr A. Karapetr was taken into custody for eluding police, DUI, hit and run, reckless endangerment and other charges.

No one was injured during the pursuit.
