Spokane Valley, Wash. -

A high speed chase starting on I-90 and ending in Spokane Valley Thursday night ended with the driver under arrest for DUI and evading police.

The chase started around 11 p.m. on I-90 when a WSP trooper on a routine stop was almost hit by a swerving driver.

The trooper started pursuit eastbound on I-90. The chase reached speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The driver exited at Pines, traveling west on Trent. WSP set out spike strips, and eventually stopped the driver at Trent and Sycamore with a pit maneuver after the spike strips flatted the driver's two front tires.

The driver surrendered and was arrested for DUI and evading police.
