High court lets Walla Walla octopus ruling stand

Appeals have run out for a Walla Walla toy store owner. The purple octopus mural on his building will have to be removed.
The state Supreme Court on Wednesday denied the petition from Inland Octopus store owner Robert Catsiff who argued the city sign code infringed on his right of free speech.
The high court decision supports a 2011 superior court ruling that upheld the sign code's size and height restrictions.
The Union-Bulletin reports fines have been adding up since October 2010 and now total more than $72,000.
