Spokane firefighters are investigating the cause of a house fire in North Spokane.

The fire started just after 7 a.m. Thursday on the 700 block of East Illinois, a few blocks northeast of Gonzaga University.

Firefighters extinguished the fire in about 15 minutes.

Everyone in the house got out safely.
