SPOKANE, Wash. -

Spokane police said they arrested a man responsible for stabbing two people Saturday morning in Hillyard.

Officers said just before 2:30 a.m., 42-year-old Donald Dyson and two other men got into an argument in the parking lot at the Special K Tavern. That's when Dyson stabbed one of the men in the neck and the other on the left side of his head.

Police said they were told Dyson ran from the scene and located him near Market Street and Courtland Avenue.

Officers said they saw Dyson throw a knife into a nearby field. When they tried to arrest him, they said he was belligerent and uncooperative.

Dyson was booked into the Spokane County Jail for two counts of 1st Degree Assault.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
