SPOKANE, Wash. -

Spokane County deputies, the forensic team and Major Crimes detectives are investigating a stabbing in North Spokane County.

The stabbing happened just after 2 a.m. Wednesday on the 4200 block of East Westwood Avenue, just off of Highway 2, in Chattaroy.

According to deputies, three people were at Prime Tyme Restaurant and Lounge when a fight broke out. At some point, the fight moved to the parking lot of the nearby ConocoPhillips gas station and at least one person was stabbed.

Deputies said the victim was taken to a Spokane hospital and is in critical condition.

While emergency crews responded to the victim, the other people involved called 911 and said they were attacked.

Spokane County Sheriff Deputy Craig Chamberlin said late Wednesday morning that two men -- 25-year-old Brian Reinhart and 42-year-old Dwayne Hackley -- have been arrested on 1st Degree Assault charges in connection with the stabbing.

Chamberlin added police hope a statement from a witness and surveillance video will show what led up to the stabbing.
