The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is investigating a man's body that was discovered on a Spokane Valley road early this morning.

A passing driver discovered the body laying in the street on Raymond Road just off of Mission around 6:20 Sunday morning.

Detectives are trying to reconstruct the scene and are talking to witnesses.

The body is a 25-year-old white male, found wearing shorts. The body had injuries suggesting it was struck or dragged.

Detectives believe they know the identity, but are still investigating. The cause of death is still undetermined and an autopsy will be performed Monday.
