Airway Heights Police have cleared the scene outside the WalMart on Highway 2 after determining a suspicious capsule contained nothing more than vehicle registration paperwork.
The bomb squad was called to the scene at Crosspointe Plaza to investigate the device. A nearby Carl's Jr. restaurant was briefly closed, as was a Taco Bell drive-thru and a portion of the WalMart parking lot.
The businesses were all reopened once the bomb technicians determined the capsule was harmless. As for the vehicle registration information, the driver of the vehicle will be contacted.
