Troopers say slick conditions caused a driver to crash into oncoming traffic near Mount Spokane High School Thursday morning.
According to Washington State Patrol troopers, a Mount Spokane student was dricing to school when she lost control of her car. The 17-year-old drove into the westbound lanes of traffic, crashing into an oncoming car. The driver of the other car was a parent who had just dropped their child off at the high school.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The drivers complained of head and neck pain.
Troopers said the teenage driver will be cited for driving too fast for the conditions.
