Arrest made in grocery store armed robbery

SPOKANE -

A Spokane K-9 officer helped track an armed robbery suspect who hit up the Bargain Giant Food in East Spokane.

Officers were called to the store in the 2100 block of East Empire around 7 o'clock Saturday evening on reports that a man with a semi-automatic handgun robbed the store.

Officer Dan Lesser and his K-9 "Rav" tracked the suspect to a house in the 1900 block of East Empire. There, officers found a possible suspect and evidence. He was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

Despite the arrest, police are still interested in hearing from anyone who might have witnessed the robbery. Call Crime Check at 456-2233 if you have any information.
