SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Spokane Regional Safe Streets Task Force (SRSSTF) helped arrest a convicted felon and recovered nine handguns as well as almost a pound of heroin.

The arrest happened Friday, Sept. 23.

Investigators located the convicted felon who was suspected of being armed and wanted on felony Wash. Department of Corrections warrants.

The suspect, who isn't being named at this time, was arrested and found to be carrying four handguns and heroin.

A search warrant was performed on a house in the 2200 block of E. 4th. More heroin, meth, nearly $6,500 in cash, and five more handguns were found.

Three of the nine obtained guns were reported stolen.

State and federal charges are expected to be filed against the suspect.
